The 2022 Bluesfest line-up is complete, with organisers today unveiling this April’s final artist announcement.
Leading the latest additions is The Honeydripper’s Dylan Party, a “spectacular tribute” to Bob Dylan on opening night that will feature Joe Camilleri, The Black Sorrows, Ross Wilson, Emma Donovan, Russell Morris, Kevin Borich, Fiona Boyes, Tex Perkins, Nicky Bomba, Lisa Hunt, The Brewster Brothers, Lachy Doley, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Roshani and Darlinghurst.
Also joining the party at Byron Events Farm from April 14-18 will be Kev Carmody & Friends, Glenn Shorrock and Clarence Bekker alongside Bluesfest Busking Competition Winners Bronte Eve (over 18) and Ben Swissa Trio (Grommets).
“This is one hell of a Bluesfest line-up – and the biggest ever! 106 artists and 200 performances – over 5 days,” Bluesfest Director Peter Noble OAM said.
“This Bluesfest is the greatest gathering of Australian artists in the history of Australian music. There’s NEVER BEEN A LINE-UP LIKE THIS BEFORE – AND MAY NEVER EVER BE REPEATED.
“Now, let me tell you, our office is buzzing. We are only a few weeks out from one of the greatest Bluesfest’s ever.
“I look forward to throwing the gates open wide and welcoming you to the Byron Events Farm, the home of Bluesfest. I am so looking forward to hearing the thump of the drums and bass, the shredding of the guitar and the dynamic pulse of the organ and horns and, of course, the wail of a vocalist… all powering up at high voltage and leaving it all out there on our Bluesfest stage.”
Back in December, Bluesfest revealed a number of international artists had been added to the bill, with George Benson, Morcheeba, The Marcus King Band, The Wailers and more joining previously confirmed headliners such as Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Jimmy Barnes, Amy Shark, Missy Higgins and Kasey Chambers.
