Blues On Broadbeach's 22nd birthday is one that will be celebrated with international and homegrown artists offering the best they've got.
Supported by the Queensland government, Blues On Broadbeach has managed to remain a predominantly free event, meaning that all music lovers enjoy the phenomenal artists set to grace the stage in May.
This year's event, from 18-21 May on the Gold Coast, is headlined by Tommy Emmanuel, Don Walker, Emma Donovan And The Putbacks and The Kevin Borich Express. Today, they're joined by Melbourne Ska Orchestra - who are celebrating their 20th anniversary and will return to the Blues On Broadbeach stage after nearly a decade-long hiatus.
The Living End vocalist and guitarist Chris Cheney will be debuting his first solo album, as well as sharing the stage with swamp-pop legend Tommy McLain (USA) and long-time collaborator C.C. Adcock.
The second line-up announcement also features Memphis’ Marcus Scott and The Bo-Keys, Blue Shaddy, Albi & The Wolves, Little Georgia, 8 Ball Aitken, Julian James And The Moonshine State, Ian Collard, Mike Elrington, plus many more.
"The Blues on Broadbeach team has put together a line-up for 2023 that will appeal to all our festival fans; Blues’ aficionados who have been coming to the festival for more than 20 years and new fans just discovering the genre,” Major Events Gold Coast Director of Festivals and Events, Mark Duckworth said.

Duckworth added, “Our festival has always been about the music and celebrating excellence in Blues’ craftsmanship, and that is what we have become known for both by the artists who perform on our stages and by our audiences."
In addition to the fantastic line-up, Blues On Broadbeach is bringing back their exclusive membership, Twelve Bar Society, for punters who want to elevate their Blues on Broadbeach experience. Last year, members enjoyed everything from a microbrewery tour to artist Q&As.
Due to health reasons, Don Bryant cannot travel to Blues On Broadbeach 2023. The good news is, in partnership with Memphis Tourism, legendary soul outfit The Bo-Keys will be joined by the soulful and compelling "Memphis Soul Man" Marcus Scott. With this change, the Don Bryant Masterclass will now be a Memphis Masterclass with Marcus Scott & The Bo-Keys.
