Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival Unveils First Artist Announcement

The first batch of artists locked in for the 2020 edition of Blues On Broadbeach Music Festival have been unveiled, with Australian legend Tommy Emmanuel leading the announcement.

The annual event will return to streets, parks and venues across Broadbeach on the Gold Coast from 14-17 May, bringing with it a stacked line-up of local and international talent.

“I’ve been looking forward to performing at Blues On Broadbeach for so long,” Emmanuel said. “

“My brother Phil used to perform there a lot over the years and he told me all about it. See you in May.”

He’ll be joined by Guatemalan-born songwriter and producer Gaby Moreno, local singer Karise Eden, indie-folk maestro Kim Churchill, Bondi Cigars, Allensworth, Dan Dinnen & Shorty, Fiona Boyes & The Fortune Tellers, Grace & Hugh, Jeff Lang, Jules Boult & The Redeemers, Kicky B, Minnie Marks, Osaka Monaurail, Pete Cornelius Band, Shaun Kirk, Sweet Thunder Jazz Orchestra, The Mason Rack Band and This Way North.

“Bringing in almost $30 million to the Gold Coast economy every year I’m not surprised to see that the big names keep lining up to be part of this quintessential Gold Coast event,” Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate said.

“Our calendar of major events continues to grow and Blues On Broadbeach continues to be a favourite among locals and visitors alike.”
