The band have issued a lengthy farewell to Jerry Craib.
Sydney band Bluejuice have been pretty quiet of late, so it's pretty sad that the latest we hear from the group is the departure of one of their key members, keyboardist Jerry Craib.
The band announced Craib's departure on their Facebook page this afternoon, giving him a lengthy and largely complimentary farewell, praising his deft technical touch and general ability to function in the touring band.
“Jerry is, and will remain the only member of Bluejuice whom a layman would not describe as “a total dick”. He's generous to the point of personal sacrifice, tactful, and humble about his formidable musical talents. He can also be a stubborn fucking weirdo, but let's not talk about that right now,” the statement said.
There is no word as yet as to who will replace Craib when the band get back into the studio and on the road, though, when wishing him all the best for the future, the band also mentioned they would be more than keen to have him return to the fray.

“We also wish he gets bored and comes back to play with us again,” they conclude.
Here's one of Craib's many epic contributions to the band, probably the first that many of us heard of his mad skills.
