For years Brisbane's Blank Realm have quietly, through their performances, let it be known that they are a musical force to be reckoned with. While selected audiences around the world, though particularly in their hometown, have recognised this to be true, the band are finally starting to receive somewhat wider acclaim, thanks in part to the release of their third LP Go Easy.
The record has been given plenty of praise since its release (we loved it) and a huge number of people are saying it's the band's finest work yet. But the band really come into their own on the live stage, as the quartet – which features three siblings – show their wealth of experience by slamming out tight grooves, psyched out washes of sound and moments of genuine pop brilliance at any given time.
The band visit the east coast capitals to celebrate the new LP's release, you can catch them at the following shows:
Saturday 12 January – The Primitive Room, Brisbane
Friday 25 January – The Zoo, Brisbane (collab set with Naked On The Vague)
Saturday 2 February – Goodgod Small Club, Sydney
Saturday 9 February – The Gasometer, Melbourne
