It’ll be the punk legends’ first tour Down Under in a long ten years – and they’re making up for the wait with some ENORMOUS two-set shows.

More Black Flag More Black Flag

Back in June of this year, the generation-defining punks in Black Flag played their first Australian show in a whole decade, delivering a one-off set in nipaluna/Hobart for the Dark MOFO festival. Well, it seems like the band enjoyed their brief trip Down Under, because today (September 18) they announced an east coast tour for the end of this year.

The four-date run will see Black Flag’s current lineup – Mike Vallely on lead vocals, Greg Ginn (the band’s sole remaining founder) on guitars, Harley Duggan on bass and Charles Wiley on drums – hit mid-sized venues in  Yugambeh/Gold Coast, Meanjin/Brisbane, Eora/Sydney and Naarm/Melbourne. They’ll play two full-length sets at each gig with one including a cover-to-cover performance of their seminal 1984 album My War.

Tickets for all of the shows are on sale now – find them here.

The last time Black Flag hit Australian stages was November of 2013, shortly after their second reunion was locked in earlier that year. It came in support of their seventh album What The…, which arrived the same month and remains Black Flag’s most recent studio effort.
