A driving force behind some of the biggest and best UK comedies of all time, BAFTA-winning talent Graham Linehan will bring the world premiere of his comedy writing workshops to Sydney and Melbourne this year.

The writer and co-creator of cult hits Black Books, The IT Crowd, Father Ted and Big Train will debut one day workshop Insights Into The Art Of TV Comedy Writing this June.

"Creativity is messy and demanding and confusing. Writing is fun and easy and impossible and awful,” Linehan said.

“Figuring it all out is something I've been trying to do for the last twenty five years and I'm hoping that I've gained enough insights into my own process that I won't actually mess yours up too much.”

He’ll host two workshops at Melbourne’s Wheeler Centre (17 – 19 June) and two at Sydney’s Darlinghurst Theatre (23 – 24 June).

Linehan most recently worked on acclaimed series Count Arthur Strong alongside Steve Delaney.
