More Paramore More Paramore

After Paramore were joined by nine-year-old Riley at their Houston gig last week, the band’s This Is Why tour continues rolling through the US with more surprises.

On Wednesday, 19 July, Billie Eilish joined the rockers at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, for a Brand New Eyes deep cut. Accompanying Paramore when the encore began, the Happier Than Ever hitmaker shocked concertgoers by appearing on stage for the second verse of All I Wanted.

Originally released in 2009, Eilish sang, “I think I’ll pace my apartment a few times / And fall asleep on the couch / And wake up early to black-and-white reruns / That escaped from my mouth (oh, oh)” before handing it over to Hayley Williams for the infamous high notes.

Paramore performed All I Wanted for the first time at When We Were Young festival on 23 October 2022. Opening their set with the song - which is HARD - the day ended up belonging to Paramore after that show. Since then, they’ve played All I Wanted another 16 times, per Setlist.fm stats.

Billboard reports that after Williams joined Eilish at her Coachella headlining slot last year, she was asked what her favourite Paramore song was, responding with All I Wanted, calling the track her “all-time favourite”. You can watch the footage below.

Twitter user Dev, posting a video to the social media platform, wrote, “BILLIE EILISH CAME OUT WITH PARAMORE WTFFF”, while another user commented, “billie is so me. singing along to the verses and not doing anything but listening to hayley sing the chorus and head banging along”.

Nine-year-old Riley joined Paramore last week for Misery Business - an easier song compared to All I Wanted, anyway - for an energetic duet.

Last month, Paramore announced their first Australian tour since 2018. Joined by special guest, Californian blues singer Remi Wolf, the band will head to Auckland’s Spark Arena, Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Sydney’s Domain for their biggest show down under to date, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

After the pre-sale was met with overwhelming demand, Paramore added extra shows in Brisbane in Melbourne.

Paramore are touring in support of their excellent sixth album, This Is Why, which debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart and Vinyl Albums Chart in its first week.
