Billy BraggIconic troubadour Billy Bragg kicked off the BIGSOUND music industry conference with a fascinating and often hilarious keynote interview on his life and his music.
Interviewed by The Music's Steve Bell, Bragg spoke of his time in the army and the power of music.
“I wanted to press the eject button on my failed attempt to change the world through punk rock,” he said.
“Singer-songwriters can't change the world. The only people who can is the audience. Our job as performers is to bring people together to express their solidarity about ideas.
“If you want change, it's your responsibility, not mine.”
