The fledgling four-piece will play a pair of east-coast shows to support new cut 'Pull The Trigger'

More Apes More Apes

Swiftly rising Melburnian rockers Apes stand at the cusp of releasing their brand new single Pull The Trigger, and to mark the occasion the lads have announced a pair of east-coast launch shows to complement their forthcoming appearance at this year's .

Pull The Trigger arrives at an ascendant time in Apes' career, with the band having spent much of the past 12 months picking up speed and renown both at home and in the Motherland, with triple j and the BBC having lent their support to the simian-rock cause in recent times.

The song was produced by Hunting Grounds' Michael Belsar and mixed by Bill Skibbe, who has previously worked with acts such as The Kills, The Black Keys and The Dead Weather, and its esteemed rock pedigree is immediately obvious upon embarking on your Apes-guided aural journey.

With a tour alongside Band Of Skulls freshly tucked away under their belts, as well as previous engagements with Kingswood, Stonefield, The Love Junkies, Fidlar and Royal Blood, Apes are well-placed to excite audiences in Sydney and at home in Melbourne when they step out in support of the single.

The band will follow those shows, at Sydney's Brighton Up Bar and Melbourne's Grace Darling on August 8th and 9th, with an eagerly awaited live appearance at Brisbane's renowned BIGSOUND conference – as if their year wasn't already going to be big enough.

Pull The Trigger will be available for purchase on July 7, but you can catch it on ye olde radio in the interim, with the song earning the band a spot add on triple j a couple weeks back.
