One thing's for certain, Beyoncé knows how to garner hype and we have totally bought into it.
Beyoncé took to social media yesterday to announce that she'll be releasing her new album Renaissance on the 29th of July.
The 16 track release is titled act i, serving as a cute teaser that there might be multiple parts attached to the record. Could a double album be coming? Is 2022 the year of the Beyoncé two piece record? While this feels like a dead give away of a clue, the conspiracy theorists in the room are also pointing to Tweets made by streaming service TIDAL, which her husband JAY-Z is on the board for.
A mysterious post landed on Beyoncé's website last weekend which said, What Is A B7, hinting at her 7th studio record. They followed up the tweet with B8, hinting at a double album.
The album is currently available to pre-order with a box set beginning to ship upon the album's release date on the 29th of July.
It's also expected that Renaissance will land with an extravagant, visual component too, with her previous releases landing on big streaming platforms. From Lemonade premiering through HBO, Homecoming landing as a part of a $60 million dollar deal with Netflix and Black Is King with Disney, it's no doubt that Renaissance will follow a similar path.

Then followed 2020s Black Is King a visual album which landed in support of and alongside 2019s The Lion King: The Gift, which featured collaborators Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell alongside Wizkid, Tekno and Burna Boy.
She performed at this year's Academy Awards which would have got more attention if Will Smith hadn't slapped Chris Rock, as well as soundtracking King Richard via Be Alive at the end of last year.
