30 Reasons This Year Isn't Complete Trash: Here Are Our Top Albums Of 2020 So Far

'The Music' team on the albums you need to hear from 2020.

Look, we can all agree that 2020 so far has been a total bin fire. We can also agree that 2020 has launched some of the most impressive, innovative and outstanding albums we've seen in years.

The year so far has been tough but through it we've collectively been able to support with live streamed shows, buying merch and most of all, listening to A LOT of albums.

Now that we've crossed the halfway mark, The Music team have taken a look back at the releases that we think you need to hear before the year is out; and this year, it feels more poignant than ever to celebrate artists and their work.

Locally, we've looked to artists like Miiesha, RVG, Sarah Mary Chadwick, Cable Ties, Polaris, Primo! and plenty more, while international heavy hitters include Run The Jewels, Fiona Apple, Mac Miller, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Strokes

The 30 albums selected are in alphabetical order, starting with 070 Shake's genre-bending Modus Vivendi. Hit the next button below to start scrolling through the list.
