"Both parties will thoroughly enjoy and cherish the friendships and artistic journeys about to take place."

Some of the country’s most promising emerging acts have been selected to take part in Bello Winter Music Festival’s annual mentorship program.

Already announced mentors Hat Fitz & Cara, Joe Newton, Claire Anne Taylor and The Maes will oversee Bellingen/Coffs Coast band Blue Sugar, Armidale singer-songwriter Arnold, Blue Mountains vocalist Aurora Li and Under 15s winner Violet Shante Hogbin, respectively.

“A lot will be gained from the mentor/artist pairings we have awarded this year, and both parties will thoroughly enjoy and cherish the friendships and artistic journeys about to take place,” Bello Winter Music Operations Manager Nino Haggith said.

“We had entries from as far as the Blue Mountains, Byron Bay and Armidale and, of course, Bellingen, Coffs Harbour and surrounds.”

Each winner will take part in a rehearsal session with their mentor, get to perform during the festival and more.

Bello Winter Music will return to Bellingen this month, with more than 70 acts from across the globe confirmed to take part in the festival.
