Fans of the multi-faceted and talented Beck don't have long to wait until they get some new material from the acclaimed singer-songwriter. The American muso will unveil his latest record Morning Phase in February next year, it's been confirmed.

The album will mark his first release through Capitol Records, who he has just announced a deal with. Morning Phase will be his first record since 2008's Modern Guilt.

The new LP has been described as somewhat similiar to that of the work on his 2002 classic album Sea Change, with a number of its contributors featuring on the release. Musicians Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Joey Waronker, Smokey Hormel, Roger Joseph Manning Jr and Jason Falkner all re-appear on the new collection of songs.

The official release date and tracklisting are still to come so stay tuned for more news on this one.
