More Beck More Beck

Bluesfest’s third artist announcement is here, with music legend Beck set to perform at the beloved festival for the very first time.

Heading to Byron Events Farm for the event, held over the Easter long weekend in Byron Bay, the Loser hitmaker will play an “intimate and unique” acoustic show.

"We are hugely excited to be presenting BECK, making his Bluesfest debut with a unique acoustic performance,” Festival Director Peter Noble OAM said.

“We have already announced 49 artists for our 34th Bluesfest, and BECK makes it 50! His acoustic set will certainly provide an avant-garde element to our already amazing line-up.

“For the first time since 2019, Bluesfest is free and unencumbered to showcase the finest genres of music from all over the globe, and BECK is the true personification of this.”

Noble also touched on the festival’s decision not to increase ticket prices from 2022 prices.

“This is a huge call considering the current economic climate. We won’t be able to maintain this stance for much longer, so be quick to secure the best price for your Bluesfest 2023 tickets,” he said.

“Our 365 days a year site improvement on the Bluesfest property continue… Since last year we’ve invested over $500k upgrading and waterproofing the Bluesfest site. Both myself and my team are currently looking at every single aspect of the Bluesfest experience to ensure it's of the highest quality possible.

“For the campers that seek a 'class above' experience you can upgrade to the Rainbow Tipi accommodation this year [with a modest increase in price] as well as experience further improvements with the onsite rental tents. Bluesfest is also upgrading the VIP area to raise the VIP experience to new heights.

“A five-day season ticket at Bluesfest can be a life-changing experience, and with our site improvements, stunning line-up and improved food and beverage suppliers, five days is the way to go."

The epic first and second announcements contained Mavis Staples, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Kaleo, Lucinda Williams, Gang Of Youths, Tash Sultana, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Jon Stevens, The Cat Empire, Counting Crows, St Paul & The Broken Bones, Allison Russell, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Vintage Trouble, The Doobie Brothers and stacks more.

Byron Events Farm will host Bluesfest from Thursday the 6th to Monday the 10th of April 2023, with a wide range of ticketing and camping options for each festival attendee.
