The northern NSW community of Ballina is in for a treat this month with the new one-day festival, Bangers On The Green, kicking off on June 18th at the Shaws Bay Hotel.
Set in the picturesque landscape of Shaws Bay, the festival will host an array of incredible Australian artists, including Floodlights, Nice Biscuit, The Rions, Blake Scott, These New South Wales, Workhorse, Luke Morris & The Heavy Hitters, GIMMY, Sweetie and Siobhan Cotchin.
With the Shaws Bay Hotel recently undergoing an ownership change, its new manager, Amber Jones, was keen to embrace the opportunity with open arms and bring Bangers On The Green to the northern rivers seaside town of Ballina.
“With its bayside water views and the amazing Ballina sunsets combined with some cool Indie rock tunes from the best up-and-coming original bands in Australia, such as The Rions and Floodlights, along with the opportunity to put 1000+ music lovers in our venue was too good an opportunity to pass up,” says Amber Jones.
Punters can also partake in a friendly game of lawn bowls or dine in Shaws Bay Hotel while these talented artists serenade you through the afternoon.

Headliners Floodlights will floor audiences with their unique and considered take on Australian indie-rock and their dynamic and raw live shows. Originally gaining attention from their first set of E.P's 2019's Backyard and 2020's From A View, Floodlights went on to play sold-out shows and festivals across Australia, performing alongside the likes of Amyl and The Sniffers and Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.
Nice Biscuit are also set to take to the stage, delivering an electrifying set of psych-folk tunes that have continued to set them apart from the rest. Since forming in 2016, the five-piece has embarked on packed-out headline tours in both USA and Europe and have also played support slots for BJM, The Growlers, Allah Las and The Murlocs.
The Rions are set to bring the house down at this year's Bangers On The Green, delivering their mass catalogue of tracks that truly give the word 'banger' a meaning. Going back-to-back in consecutive Hottest 100 countdowns, the band are set to continue their rise with upcoming single Scary Movies.
