In what is a fantastic example of the heavy music world coming together in solidarity, bands have been donating and supporting The Ghost Inside in droves.
On November 19th, The Ghost Inside were involved in a crash in Texas when their bus hit an on-coming semi-truck. The GoFundMe campaign to support the band and their families, setup by famous YouTube personality, Brian Storm, will transfer the funds to not only the band, but also to their tour bus driver's - Greg Hokes - family, and reportedly some to the family of the driver of the semi-truck that collided with the bus, both of whom sadly died in the crash. Furthermore, Storm gave an update a few hours ago with the following:
"The progress we have made is incredible, hopefully we can continue to raise funds for The Ghost Inside and for Greg Hokes funeral expenses."
Since the crash, bands across all genres, from Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Parkway Drive, to The Wonder Years and Jeffree Star, and many, many other peers have donated hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of dollars to the campaign to help cover the price of hospital bills racked up, which are expected to exceed over $100,ooo USD (hooray for American healthcare). One anonymous donator also dug very deep and donated $5,000 as well. So far, both fans, peers and these very generous donors have raised well over 118K of the campaign's $125K goal, which will really, really help out the expenses for each party involved in this tragedy.
