Baker Boy Scores Multiple Entries On This Week’s National Indigenous Music Chart

While Busby Marou hold onto #1.

More Baker Boy Baker Boy Profile

Two new Baker Boy songs have made their way into the National Indigenous Music Chart, while Queensland duo Busby Marou hold onto #1 with Sound Of Summer for a second week.

Last week, the National Indigenous Music Awards, in partnership with Radio Monitor and SGC Group, launched the country’s first-ever National Indigenous Music Chart.

After taking out multiple prizes at The Age Music Victoria Awards earlier this week, Baker Boy’s Mr La Di Da Di (#8) and Black Magic (#9) have entered the chart, right next to AB Original, who make their first appearance with Blaccout.

Meanwhile, Thelma Plum and Tasman Keith both climb the chart with their new single.

Upon its launch last week, NIMAs reference group chair Warren H Williams stated: "We hope it will become an important place to recognise the incredible achievements of our musicians and the essential place they hold in the tapestry of Australian music culture."
