Baker Boy Drops New Single Celebrating The Women Who Have Empowered Him

North East Arnhem Land born, Melbourne-based rapper Baker Boy today dropped his first single of 2020, Move.

The new track is a groove-heavy tribute from Danzal Baker to the women in his life.

“I wanted to write a song for my miyalk (girl) but also show appreciation to the women who taught me to respect everyone as my equals," says Baker.

"I grew up with beautiful spirited women and now I share my life with a strong, empowered woman so I wrote a song for her, and for all the strong-minded women out there."

Baker's last two singles, Cool As Hell and Meditjin (featuring JessB), both placed in the 2019 triple j Hottest 100

The hip hop artist also finished  2019 by taking out the National Indigenous Music Award (NIMA) for Artist Of The Year.
