Bad AstronautThe six-date second installment of punk festival Hits & Pits has happily welcomed a second round of sweet acts, bragging some additional American and UK flavour for the Australia-wide tour this November.
Joining the already three American acts on the headliner bill, US punk rockers Bad Astronaut will make a long-awaited first trip to Australian shores, organisers ecstatic that the band are making the voyage to the Southern Hemisphere despite only playing rare shows since 2005 – an opportunity, they believe, may not come again.
Indiana pop-punk blasts from the past The Ataris also join the bill, the band known for '90s tunes of love and girls, as well as their early '00s cover of Don Henley's The Boys of Summer. With frontman Kristopher Roe in toe, and through many incarnations, the four-piece are ready to show Australia that they can still play a love song.
And bringing a English touch to the second announcement, United Kingdom punk veterans Snuff will also play Hits & Pits 2.0, bringing the drum and vocals combo Down Under, fresh with a new record 5-4-3-2-1 Perhaps? released early this year.
These three acts join the already announced Boysetsfire, No Fun At All, Jughead's Revenge and Off With Their Heads with one more massive headliner yet to be announced.
