US metalcore/hip-hop crossover act, BackWordz have just dropped a new track, 'Utopia's Don't Exist' and also announced their debut album.

'Utopia's Don't Exist' is the third proper single from the band, and their fourths song overall when you count their cover of Eminem's 'Till I Collapse'. The track comes off their upcoming debut album, 'Veracity', which is scheduled for a release later this year or early next year at the latest.

The band said this about the meaning of the new song, which you can stream below.

"While some may believe that division is the issue, it is indeed not. Today's society is filled with so much illegitimacy it has become rather difficult to decipher through the truth. Division isn't the problem. the politics of it is.

Politicians have done nothing but benefit off of playing on emotions, not truth. Though media is an extension of it, is isn't all of it. This is a cultural issue that only WE can fix. However, there's a politician running for office, betting on the fact that you will not think or figure this out for yourself. He/she is the benefactor of the dysfunction, and understands that false promises is all it takes for THEM to get power.. not YOU.

Government has the monopoly of force, and never forget that. Once you understand that you do not 'need' them, you've stripped them of their power.. thus stripping them of their power to be corrupt. You are part of the issue if you feel as if government must force your personal ideal of wealth, view, and etc across the board. Co-existing does not simply consist of us all agreeing, but rather consists of acknowledging that it's perfect fine and inevitable that we WILL disagree. "Ain't nothin' wrong with being on different sides of the same subject."
