Backsliders To Launch New LP With East Coast Tour

The band's 13th LP is being celebrated with a few select dates.

The Backsliders are the kings of Australian blues, 28 years of slamming out quality records and incendiary live performances have made sure that is well-known, and they aren't slowing down. This April sees them release Dark Side, an album of dark blues, folk, Cajun and gospel music featuring always-present founding Dom Turner, long-term drummer Rob Hirst and frequent collaborators Broderick Smith, Ian Collard and Jim Moginie.

While blues is undoubtedly an American form, the Backsliders aren't interested in producing a carbon copy of classic blues music, preferring to add their unique own slant to the music and the subject matter their songs cover. It's certainly served them well so far.
