It's been 25 long years

Iconic Melburnian new jazz group Bachelors From Prague have announced they'll be reforming for a special one-off show this September, marking a whopping 25 years since the eight-piece played together last.

Having become influential through appearances at the Edinburgh Festival and on radio/TV shows like The Big Gig and Hey Hey Its Saturday!, members from Bachelors From Prague went on to work with other successful local acts like Paul Kelly, Archie Roach and Vika and Linda Bull.

The original line-up will get together to re-open The Night Cat in Fitzroy — launched by the band's frontman Henry Maas in 1994 and relaunched later by percussionist Justin Stanford — on 2 September.
