Bachelor Girl Detail Special Guest Line-up On 'Waiting For The Day: Artist Sessions' Album

If you’ve been following Bachelor Girl’s social media accounts over the last few months, you’ve seen they’ve been keen on reimagining their debut album, Waiting for the Day.

And while they’ll soon embark on a Redux tour celebrating Waiting for the Day, released in 1998, they’re not releasing a typical anniversary edition of the album. Instead, they’re releasing an Artist Sessions version of the record, where their peers and acts inspired by Bachelor Girl help them reimagine their songs.

Already, we’ve heard reimagined versions of Treat Me Good (starring Jessica Mauboy), Blind (with Darren Hayes), and Blown Away, where the duo of Tania Doko and James Roche teamed up with Tommy Emmanuel and Ella Hooper.

Now, Bachelor Girl have announced the full track listing of Waiting for the Day: Artist Sessions, set for release on Friday, 7 August. Along with the acts mentioned above, the duo have enlisted the likes of Guy Sebastian, Suze DeMarchi, Jack Jones, Delta Goodrem, Jon Stevens, and many others.

Explaining the process behind the Artist Sessions album, Doko said, “We (somewhat audaciously!) began to ask some of our favourite Aussie artists and friends if they would lend their voices and/or instrument to our bucket list project.

“What started with one became 13 artists on this 15-track Redux album, and we could not be more chuffed they enthusiastically said yes.”
