The Australasian Worldwide Music Expo now boasts more than forty acts
The annual Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME) has unveiled another round of acts on its 2014 line-up, with multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Pete Murray and lauded Sydneysider Declan Kelly leading the charge of new blood being added to the mix.
Joining previously announced artists such as Ash Grunwald, Hiatus Kaiyote, the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Marlon Williams, BONJAH and several others, AWME debutant Murray and Kelly (who will be paying tribute to classic Midnight Oil album Diesel And Dust with his reggae-steeped Diesel ‘n’ Dub show) help take the grand total of acts for this year’s November 13-16 event past the forty-strong mark.
Their inclusion on the bill is backed up by other esteemed adds such as Melburnian soul songstresses Chelsea Wilson and Rita Satch, intrepid folk troubadours Oh Pep!, Territorian representatives Cassandra Williams, Stewart Gaykamangu, and the venerated Tjintu Desert Band, and international conscripts Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson (Scotland), Kim Wempe (Canada) and the ditch-hopping Batacuda Sound Machine (NZ).
