Awaken I Am release update, discuss line-up

Queensland’s Awaken I Am have released a lengthy Facebook update, which observes the band’s current personnel.

The group has recently parted ways with their guitarists.

Awaken I Am write (including a statement from the former members):

As some of you may be aware or who caught us on tour, you may of noticed we had a major lineup change. Sadly, we announce that guitarists Ash and Jed have decided to depart the band.

"It is with heavy hearts that we walk away from Awaken I Am at this pivotal time.

One of us has been there from the very start, one of us only for the last two and a bit years. We're psyched to have been a part of Awaken, but due to personal circumstances we accept it is time to take our leave.

We have, respectfully, established and evolved the sound of the band. From it's rocky beginnings to the crushing direction of its impending return.

We poured our hearts... and wallets into the album you are close to hearing. We wrote it for you, the listeners, the lovers. We wrote it for ourselves. Our brightest and darkest moments are on there. In every riff we laid down, every chord we strummed, every note we cried.

Hear it. Feel it. Make it your own.

We pass the torch to our new brothers, brimming with the aspirations and hopes we had during our time with the band. Take care of it dudes, and take it far!!

Until we reemerge in our next ventures, musical or not...

We want to thank you all for your patience. 2014 has been a crazy time for Awaken I Am and even though there have been many tests within the band, our love for music and this band remain strong and can not wait to release this album and start touring.
