We have Once I Was An Eagle streaming in full all week.
The latest LP from 23 year old UK songstress Laura Marling, Once I Was An Eagle, is set for release this Friday, one of the first records that the brand new Caroline Label Services division will be working after its unveiling yesterday afternoon. Before its release, though, you can stream it in full on theMusic.com.au.
Marling has long been a favourite of Australian audiences and she has already announced her return to venues (well, more like churches) across Australia in support of the album, as well as an appearance at the Splendour In The Grass festival late-July.
The record is a sparse but captivating set of songs that have a certain warm intimacy and showcase Marling's simply brilliant voice. It almost feels like a singualr piece of music as each songs flows effortlessly into the next with a kind of subtle class.
Our reviewer said that "Once I Was An Eagle allows Marling to show off all her prophetic talents as one of this generation's greatest songwriters," and now you can find out for yourself.
