Sydney’s premier nightclub, Home The Venue, has made DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 Clubs of 2024 list.
Landing at #78, Home The Venue is surrounded by clubs in Spain (mainly Ibiza), the US, Croatia, Brazil, China, Japan, Vietnam, and many more, and ended up being the only Australian space to make the cut.
The 2,500-capacity club is home to three floors of live music, light shows, wall art and waterfront outdoor dining areas along Sydney’s Darling Harbour. In DJ Mag’s blurb, Home The Venue was described as a “purpose-built superclub” that’s been serving Sydney punters for over 20 years.
The DJ Mag blurb continued, “One of only a few Australian venues to ever make the Top 100 Clubs poll, its music policy is suitably broad, with D&B and UKG rubbing shoulders with reggaeton, hard dance and even a male revue show.
“Fedde Le Grande was amongst the stars who also passed through in 2024, closing Home’s Mardi Gras celebrations. Homemade, the club’s in-house Saturday night, offers mini-festival vibes every week over four rooms. And for those who don’t want to stop, Morning Glory takes advantage of the location for a stunning sunrise session.”
This year’s DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs list received record-breaking votes from 229 territories across the globe.
In a news post about the list, DJ Mag stated of the massive demand in nightclubs, “Filling the gaps are a raft of new entries — 16 in total. That’s the most since our 2020 list, which was released just as the world went into Covid-19 lockdown, a clear indicator of the electronic music scene’s post-pandemic recovery.”
Home The Venue is the sole club from the Oceania region to make the list, with Hï Ibiza taking the top spot for the third year in a row.
At the time of writing, representatives for Home The Venue have yet to respond to the news of their place on the Top 100 Clubs list.
