The seventh annual Australasian Worldwide Music Expo (AWME) has announced the first batch of artists set to fill out its 2014 line-up in preparation for the event’s four days and nights of celebrating roots music from Australia and beyond in Melbourne this November.

When all is said and done, the 2014 AWME will be filled up with a high-profile conference program, about 500 local and international music and arts professionals and a sweet, sweet array of performances.

To get the wheels in motion, though, the AWME has revealed that it will welcome to its showcasing ranks Splendour 2014 alumni Hiatus Kaiyote, ubiquitous bluesman Ash Grunwald, renowned Indigenous music veteran Bart Willoughby, rising hip-hopper Jimblah, (recently charting) acoustic troubadours the Pierce Brothers, the soulful R&B strains of singer Ms Murphy, and the big, brassy nu-wave wares of Bullhorn.

And that’s just the local regiment – from abroad, the AWME will welcome US roots act Nahko And Medicine For The People, Canadian blues/roots outfit Digging Roots, Kiwi trip-hop luminary  Estere, and fellow ditch-hopper and electro-jazz trailblazer Myele Manzanza.

The AWME is all about providing a platform for industry professionals from all corners of the biz to come together for four days of music, networking and conferencing, held this year from November 13-16 across locales such as Arts Centre Melbourne, The Hi-Fi, The Toff, Ding Dong, Shebeen and Lounge.

Early-bird delegate passes (for the full four days, or just the weekend) are available now until September. Tickets for all concerts will be going on sale soon.
