It doesn't get better than this.
With the 2017 edition of Tropfest a little over a week away, the judging panel has today been announced which features some of Australia's biggest names in film.
Internationally-acclaimed actor Sam Neill (Jurassic Park, Hunt For The Wilderpeople) and Oscar-winning director George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) make up the panel alongside acclaimed filmmaker Rachel Perkins (Bran New Dae, Jasper Jones) and Bruna Papandrea, who co-founded the Pacific Standard production company alongside US actress, Reese Witherspoon.
The newly-announced names join Australia's own Rose Byrne who is serving as this year's Head Of Jury.
"It is an enormous honour to add these esteemed filmmakers to the Tropfest jury in our 25th year," founder and chair, John Polson, said.

"We're excited for our judges and audiences alike to experience the finalist films, produced by these young and brilliant minds.
"At a time when gender inequality is a major concern in the film industry at home and abroad, I'm also extremely proud that half of our finalists are women this year."
