Last we heard, C3 Presents, Live Nation and CRS had announced a desire to launch a new festival in Auckland, New Zealand, inspired by the famous Austin City Limits and an emphasis on good cuisine, fashion, a kids area, pop-up bars and shops. Today, Auckland City Limits have announced their inaugural 2016 line-up.
Headed up by Bluesfest headliners Kendrick Lamar and The National, the one-day festival held on Saturday, 19 March at Western Springs also features rapper Action Bronson, Kiwi indie pop upstarts The Naked & Famous, Cold War Kids and many more.
Promoters are due to announce even more acts for the festival next month, bringing the total up to 40 as stuff.co.nz notes, as well as details about art installations, Auckland Eats and Auckland Kiddie Limits.
