Atom Willard has announced he has become a permanent member of Florida punks Against Me!, taking over full-time drumming duties.

A tweet made yesterday by Willard confirmed he'll be playing "in, with and for" the band, claiming he was "very excited" about the "next chapter of [his] story".

Willard, whose resume boasts time in the likes of The Offspring, Rocket from the Crypt and Angels and Airwaves, filled in behind the kit for Against Me! as part of their Australian tour earlier this year, after former drummer Jay Weinberg quit the band late last year. Willard went on to play on the band's upcoming sixth studio album 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues'.

Check out the aforementioned tweet from Willard below. No word yet on a permanent replacement for longtime bassist Andrew Seward, who left the band in May.

Against Me!'s new 'True Trans' EP is available for free download here.
