The latest in hybrid-soul sound.

The latest contributors to Melbourne's flourishing hybrid-soul scene, Astro & The Ages, are set to launch their first album together at The Workers Club on 4 Jun.

Bandleader Astro has played on stage with a huge range of musicians including Cyndi Lauper, Hiatus Kaiyote and DubFX while The Ages have a resume spanning acts like playing in bands with Gotye, Husky and DubFX. Together, their sound is a melting pot of Stevie Wonder and Kiwi reggae with dance rhythms from Africa, Brazil and Jamaica all wrapped in blues inflections. The will be supported on the night from Amadou Suso.
