Ascendant Melb Act Cable Ties Sign With Poison City Records

Emergent Melburnian garage/punk/alt-rock trio Cable Ties have signed with venerated indie label Poison City Records ahead of their impending debut LP.

Marking the occasion by unveiling scorching new single The Producer (currently streaming via Noisey), the band are well placed to further capitalise on their budding renown and reputation as enthralling performers, active contributors to the Melbourne music community, and unapologetic champions of the marginalised and underrepresented.

Having only come together in 2015, the band have swiftly gathered a dedicated, growing following, their underground renown steering them towards festival stages by the time they'd hit their first anniversary. Armed with killer riffs, an incendiary attitude and sonic hallmarks too ferocious to justifiably ignore, there's no reason to expect that their trajectory will peter out any time soon, either.

In fact, Cable Ties already have a handful of live appearances on the cards over the next few weeks, starting with an outing this evening at The Old Bar with The Dacios, Root Rat and Muscle Mate, before a trio of shows with new label-mates Camp Cope — only the first show, at Hobart's Brisbane Hotel on 16 February, has tickets remaining; the other two performances, in Adelaide (17 February) and Sydney (3 March) are sold out.
