Art Vs Science Ask Public To Help Save 'Under Threat' Studio

Sydney dance outfit Art vs Science are calling for public assistance to help save a recording studio based at Bondi Beach Pavilion, following local council's plans to turn the space into more restaurants and cafes. 

In a video posted to the band's Facebook page today, band members Dan McNamee and Jim Finn urged locals to contact Waverly Council to protest the move. 

"These studios are under threat of being lost forever," McNamee said.

"But with just a little bit of assistance this could actually be a world class studio right here on the beach in Bondi. 

"This is an incredible place to make a record."

While Art vs Science recorded most of their 2015 album Off the Edge of the Earth and Into Forever, Forever at the community-owned studio, other acts including Rufus have also used the space which McNamee believes could garner interest from acts all over the world. 

"Is it about making money or is it about making life better for the people of the community?" Finn added.
