"Music is such an important part of our culture and holds a special place in our hearts, so we’re always looking for ways to help you get closer to the stage," VP & Managing Director of Google Australia and New Zealand, Mel Silva, said.

"There’s a very clear crossover here, with the 2019 ARIA Award for Best Video presented by YouTube Music, a service that delivers a unique music and video experience. And a glance at the nominees list reinforces this – these are all artists with huge YouTube audiences.

"There’s so much more too. With ARIA, we’re giving you access to new and historical video content on YouTube, you can listen to or watch nominees again and again on YouTube Music, and voting is right at your fingertips in Google Search.”

ARIA Chief Executive Dan Rosen added, "Music videos are such an important way for artists to connect with their fans, and this year's Best Video nominees show how much talent we have in Australia, on both sides of the camera.

"YouTube Music's mix of video and audio streaming make them the perfect presenting partner for this Award. They also bring with them the power of Google, and it is a brilliant new initiative for this year that Aussie music fans can vote for the Best Video ARIA Award winner using Google search.”
