Full charts online each Saturday

The ARIA Charts are set to be released at 7pm each Saturday, starting this week, in a re-jig of the Australian music rankings' roll out each week.

Traditionally appearing in media over the weekend before being released online Sunday night/Monday morning, the Singles Chart will still be revealed through the Today Network's Take 40 Australia radio show from 3pm-7pm each Saturday.

The remaining Album and various Genre charts will then be released online at 7pm. The catchment period for sales remains Friday through to Thursday.

“We wanted to make sure that we could announce the ARIA Charts at the earliest possible time, giving Australian music fans the most up to date account of what tracks and albums have charted over the past week,” ARIA CEO Dan Rosen said. “It will be exciting to have the Charts revealed for the first time on national radio and in synch with our social media, with the number one track in the country announced at 7pm on Saturday night.

“This is a fantastic development for the ARIA Charts which serve as the official barometer of what music fans across the country are buying and listening to each week and act as an important source of information for both the industry and fans alike.”
