ARIA CEO Dan Rosen Nominated To Represent Australia In International Campaign

Following a hugely successful 30th anniversary of the ARIA Awards last month, ARIA CEO Dan Rosen has been selected to represent Australia at international campaign, G'Day USA.

Rosen joins the annual LA-based gala, which aims to promote Australian capabilities in the US and create deeper economic ties, in support of a new initiative coined the 'G'Day USA Champions', "bringing together prominent individuals with the reach, experience and profile to help promote Australia", Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop, said. 

The renowned music figure will stand alongside high-profile names and fellow 'G'Day USA Champions' including Hollywood heavyweight Hugh Jackman, local star Rachel Griffiths, Westfield Co-CEO, Peter Lowy, Village Roadshow Entertainment Group CEO, Greg Basser and more.

"It is a great honour to be asked by the Foreign Minister to be part of a select group to help promote Australia in the United States," Rosen told The Music.

"Most importantly, it is recognition of the growing strength of the Australian music industry on the international stage and how our artists are having an increasing impact in the US.

"I am hopeful that the ARIA — G’Day USA partnership will help reinforce to the Government that Aussie music is of great cultural and economic importance both here and overseas, and therefore is an industry that needs to be supported, promoted and celebrated."

Rosen's call-up is a well-deserved nod to the success Aussie acts have had in the US market in recent times. 

While Flume, Sia and Keith Urban were all nominated for Grammys this month, well-established artists and breakthrough acts have also been tearing through the States for some time including Tame Impala, Empire Of The Sun and Troye Sivan.

G'Day USA 2017 is set to talk place in Hollywood on 28 January.
