It looks promising.
A comeback has been on the cards (and the hopes of many fans) for a while now, but if their social media accounts are anything to go by, Melbourne's The Avalanches could very well be making a return in the near future.
While they have occasionally maintained a presence on their social media handles, one particular picture of a golden butterfly has been recently and casually uploaded on their Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, (a newly-created) Instagram, YouTube and website, leading fans to speculate if the image is symbolic for new material.
A follow-up album to 2000's Since I Left You has believed to be in the works for a while, with rumours circulating that the band were working in the studio back in 2014.
While the image is in a no way a guarantee of new music, let's hope for fans' sake, this is a sign of things to come.
