The search is on for the next Aus urban superstar
The search is on again this year for Australia's next hip hop/soul star with the 2014 Hilltop Hoods Initiative now taking applications from emerging musicians.
The initiative, which is also presented by the Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA/AMCOS), will give one artist $10,000 to assist with the manufacture, release and promotion of their debut album. They will also receive legal and genral career advice from David Vodicka and Media Arts Lawyers plus Zoo York and Shure Microphone prize packs.
Applications close on Tuesday 25 February, with the winner to be named on Tuesday 27 March. Head to the APRA website for more details on eligibility and how to apply.
Last year's winner was Gold Coast rapper Chelsea Jane.
