Defiler are the latest band to be added to the Soundwave bill, it has been revealed this afternoon, as a twitter exchange between AJ Maddah and the band's Jake Pelzl confirmed the act would be on tonight's second line up announcement.

Defiler are a Californian deathcore band with a couple of well received releases to their name thus far. Last year's Nematocera saw them garner acclaim from all around the world and they're apparently looking at releasing a new EP as soon as possible. Australian audiences could well be among the first to hear this new material when the band are here for Soundwave 2014.
The rest of the Soundwave second announcement – which could feature somewhere in the vicinity of 30 acts – will be unveiled tonight. AJ Maddah has estimated the announcement will happen at around 11pm AEDT.
