BIGSOUND 2013 has announced another 80 acts for this years conference.
So living in Brisbane definitely has it's perks. First is that the Gold Coast is only an hour away, so those summer days down at the beach are just far enough to be classified as an 'escape', second is that awesome music festivals like BIGSOUND come to town and just make Queensland that little bit more interesting.
BIGSOUND is in it's 12th year and is now one of the most anticipated music events in Australia. Being an industry conference rather than just your average festival, BIGSOUND not only has acts playing over various music venues in Brisbane's famous Fortitude Valley, but it also has a plethora of guest speakers and professionals, communicating with those who wish to make their music industry dreams a reality. In 2012 BIGSOUND saw 120 artists playing Brisbane venues across two nights, and this year is bound to be just as good.
Over September 11 and 12 BIGSOUND is taking over Brisbane and although XAVIER RUDD, THE JUNGLE GIANTS, MEGAN WASHINGTON, STONEFIELD and THELMA PLUM had already been announced by organisers as key acts this year, this morning via Triple J, another 80 acts were announced for BIGSOUND 2013. We must say we were very excited to see the inclusion of BLEEDING KNEES CLUB, BLOODS and BORED NOTHING.
