"I never meant to cause any upset."
Australian singer-songwriter Amy Shark has issued an apology following a controversial video she posted to TikTok last month.
The Gold Coast artist was called out online for sharing a clip on the platform in which she mimicked comedian Anjelah Johnson’s stand-up routine about nail salons.
Shark has now issued an apology on Twitter today.
“I am sorry if I offended anyone, I can see that the TikTok I posted a couple of weeks ago was silly and inappropriate and honestly I never meant to cause any upset,” Shark said.
“I have taken down the video. Love you all.”
