"This year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever."
After reports late last year that BASSINTHEGRASS would double in size this year, the iconic festival has dropped a stacked 2019 line-up, with the likes of local legends Amy Shark, Hilltop Hoods, PNAU, Nick Murphy and more locked down.
Northern Territory’s largest music festival will take place on May 18 at Mindil Beach, today confirming the first 18 acts on the bill.
Here's the first line-up announcement:
Allday, Amy Shark, Ball Park Music, Broods, Caiti Baker, DZ Deathrays, Hermitude, Hilltop Hoods, Hot Dub Time Machine, Karnivool, The Lunar Society, Mallrat, Meg Mac, Nick Murphy, PNAU, Ruel, SIX60, Tasman Keith
“BASSINTHEGRASS is always a highlight of our touring schedule, it’s one of the reasons we keep coming back to Darwin and we can’t wait to check out the new Mindil Beach venue,” Hilltop Hoods’ Suffa said.

This year’s festival will boast more than 20 artists across two stages at its new location with “improved services and facilities” also on offer.
“With double the artists and a brand new venue at Mindil Beach, this year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever,” Northern Territory Major Events Company General Manager Tim Watsford said.
“We’re excited to attract music lovers of all ages to Darwin who are looking to extend their summer and see this fantastic line up of big names perform all in one location.”
