You'll be stunned.

In the same week that the Federal Court ruled that some of the biggest torrent websites are to be blocked in Australia, it has been revealed that TV streaming service Amazon Prime Video has launched in the country.

As TV Tonight reports, the US-launched service will be available in over 200 countries, but as far as Aussie punters are concerned, they can sign up at an introductory price of just $AU3.98 per month for the first six months.

Customers will also receive a free 7-day trial period.

Shows available on Amazon Prime Video include The Grand Tour (fronted by former Top Gear hosts, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May) and Emmy Award-winning shows, TransparentMozart In The Jungle and The Man In The High Castle.

An extra bonus of the announcement is that the service will reportedly screen original programming globally.

Amazon Prime Video's introduction into the country is the latest shake-up to Australia's TV landscape, following the recent launch of SBS Viceland and news that Presto will cease operations next month.
