"Victoria is the place to be if you love live music.”
A slew of international heavyweights and local legends have been confirmed for over 90 events across Victoria in the coming months.
The state’s ALWAYS LIVE initiative, which saw Foo Fighters perform a last-minute stadium show in Geelong back in March and will welcome Billy Joel in December, has confirmed more than 150 artists, including UK superstar Dua Lipa, who will perform an exclusive show at the iconic Palais Theatre on October 3.
Meanwhile, Crowded House will play Gateway Lakes on the banks of the mighty Murray River, joined by Angus & Julia Stone and Boy & Bear, as local legends Sampa The Great, Jessica Mauboy, Yothu Yindi, The Teskey Brothers, Briggs, Frente, Magic Dirt, Kate Ceberano, The Black Sorrows and stacks more announce events.
Other internationals gracing the bill include the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Claptone, Toro y Moi and Big Thief.
The latest batch of artists join previously confirmed ALWAYS LIVE talent Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Khruangbin, Tash Sultana, Baker Boy, Middle Kids and more.

Featuring over 180 artists, 90 events and engaging 65 industry partners, Always Live is a key part of reinvigorating Victoria through the power of live music.
“Whether it’s Billy Joel at the MCG, Dua Lipa at the Palais Theatre, Nick Cave at Hanging Rock or one of the many unique events which make up the program, Victoria is the place to be if you love live music.”
ALWAYS LIVE Programming Director Emily Ulman added: “It has been my honour to work with the music community to dream up this ALWAYS LIVE program. The enormous offering that we present today reflects the energy and atmosphere of contemporary live music in Victoria, and further positions Melbourne and Victoria as the live music capital of Australia.
