Billy Joel Is Performing A One Night Only Show In Australia

Billy Joel, alongside Frontier Touring, The Victorian Government and ALWAYS LIVE have today announced that the singer, songwriter and composer will perform a one night only show in Australia.

He'll perform a history making show on Saturday the 10th of December at Australia's biggest and most iconic stadium, The Melbourne Cricket Ground. 

‘I’m happy to announce that I’m finally coming to Australia to do one exclusive show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground as part of ALWAYS LIVE," said Joel.

"It’s been a really long time since I’ve been there, I’m really looking forward to coming and I’m bringing the whole family and we’re going to enjoy it. I’ll see you there."

The concert is presented in partnership with ALWAYS LIVE, a state wide celebration and initiative that supports contemporary live music by the Victorian Government.

Joel is one of the most popular and respected artists in history, having sold over 150 million records, scoring 6 Grammy wins and 23 nominations. He's the sixth best selling recording artist of all time and the third best selling solo artist.

He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1999. He received both The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song and the once-in-a-century ASCAP Centennial Award in 2014. In 2018, the Library of Congress chose Piano Man for preservation in the National Recording Registry for its historic significance. 

Tickets to Joel's first performance in Melbourne in over 14 years will go on sale on Monday 4 July (10am AEST) via frontiertouring.com/billyjoel.
