A new festival will hit Surfers Paradise in January and some big time acts will perform at the two-day event, which is known as Beachlife.

Dub-step kingpin Skrillex and current rap faves Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky have been confirmed as the headliners for the festival, with Skrill set to perform on the first day of the event and the other two locked in for its second day.

The festival will take place along the shoreline of Surfers Paradise beach and organisers are expecting around 10,000 punters to head along when Beachlife hits town on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January. Early bird tickets are now available.

Skrillex has already been announced as the headliner and curator for Bondi's Shore Thing on New Year's Eve, while Khalifa and A$AP will get Perth pumping for 2014 at Origin NYE plus a co-headline show in January at Melbourne's Festival Hall.
