Prince Profile35 Prince records are set to be reissued thanks to a new distribution deal between the late music icon's estate and Sony Music Entertainment.
Under the new agreement, Prince's catalogue will be distributed by Legacy Recordings (a division of Sony Music), with worldwide rights beginning immediately to 19 previously-released album titles (originally released between 1995-2010.
Some of the albums included in the deal are The Gold Experience (1995), Emancipation (1996), Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (1999) and The Rainbow Children (2001).
Starting in 2021, Sony/Legacy's distribution rights will be expanded to include 12 non-soundtrack catalogue albums, featuring iconic music recorded by the artist from the 1978-1996 era for distribution in the United States only including Prince (1979), Dirty Mind (1980), 1999 (1982), Sign O' The Times (1987) and Diamonds & Pearls (1991), as well as hit singles 1999, Little Red Corvette, I Wanna Be Your Lover and Raspberry Beret.
