Trophy Eyes ProfileTwo-day-long pop-up event House Of Vans Melbourne has unveiled its full program for next month's festivities, featuring an array of live music, skateboarding, workshops and other goodness galore.
On Friday 10 and Saturday 11 November, the North Melbourne Meat Market will be transformed into a haven of Vans culture, with all-ages day sessions including learn-to-skate classes with Jesse Noonan (Rock N Slide Skateboarding), grip tape design workshops with Jimmy Roche and a photography and videography workshop run by Andrew Mapstone.
Beach Burrito Co will also launch their Tic Taco: Kicks exhibition, a group charity show raising funds for Skate Aid featuring the work of local artists such as Andy Murphy, Lauren Webster, Silly Pear and more.
On the musical front, the main events will be over-18 gigs; Friday night will welcome local singer-songwriter Ali Barter to the stage supported by Rackett, Birdz and Bell City Square, while the following evening will see a headline performance from Trophy Eyes, with support from Columbus, The Second Sex and The Quarters.
The daytime proceedings will also include a couple of stripped-back performances for the under-18 set, from Trophy Eyes' John Floreani — aka Little Brother — and Alex Moses (Columbus).
There will also be a bountiful street market featuring barber cuts from Uppercut Deluxe, merch and vinyl from Oh! Jean Records, a zine pop-up, Print & Staple, by Ha-Ven, and skate/BMX goodies from Fast Times Skateboarding and Rampfest BMX.
Amid it all, there will be demonstrations from Vans Australia skate and BMX teams, and you can wet your whistle with drinks from Sailor Jerry's, Gage Road Brewery and Little Green Cider while chowing down on some deliciousness from the folks at Taco Truck.
